Rachel Stahlberg is an accomplished educator and curriculum writer with over a decade of experience creating engaging learning activities for K-12 students. Originally from Roscoe, Illinois, she earned her Bachelor of Science in K-12 Education from Northern Illinois University in 2013. Her teaching career has spanned four public school districts in Florida and Texas, where she taught various subjects and grade levels, with a primary focus on 5th grade science and social studies over the majority of her time teaching. Rachel’s dedication and impact were recognized when she was named Teacher of the Year for the 2021-2022 school year by her colleagues.
Throughout her teaching journey from 2014-2024, Rachel took on leadership roles and contributed to science curriculum development in diverse educational settings. During the 2020 pandemic, she adapted quickly to new challenges by designing remote learning solutions, which strengthened her skills in flexible, technology-driven instruction. This experience sparked her interest in instructional design, providing an opportunity to blend her passion for curriculum development with a growing interest in educational technology.
From 2021 to 2023, Rachel expanded her expertise as a part-time curriculum writer with STEMscopes, creating K-8 science content for students in multiple states. This role allowed her to apply her creativity in developing impactful, content-rich learning experiences. Driven by a desire to deepen her knowledge, she pursued a certificate in instructional design during 2024, refining her skills in technology tools and learning theories.
In November of 2024, Rachel was thrilled to transition out of the classroom and accept her first position as an Instructional Designer in the corporate world. She was eager to bring her background in education and curriculum development to an EdTech company, where she creates engaging learning experiences for middle school, high school, and college (adult) learners. Outside of her professional endeavors, she enjoys staying active through tennis and disc golf, craft projects, traveling, and spending time with her family (her husband, daughter, and dog). A lifelong learner, Rachel is passionate about empowering others through innovative educational solutions.
